Tri-Groove Nuts
Tri-groove security nuts are installed, removed and reused with a special socket wrench that permits access to recessed mountings or deep channels. These nuts are the original 1018 steel tri groove nuts that cannot be shattered with a hammer blow like many zinc die-cast nuts.
The smaller 10-24 and 1/4-20 nuts have a width of 5/8", while the 5/16-18, 3/8-16 and 1/2-13 nuts are 13/16" wide. Complete Specifications
Be sure to order a socket for each size security nut you need. The smaller TGSS socket works with both the #10 or 1/4" tri groove nuts, while the larger TGSM works on 5/16" or 3/8" tri-groove nuts. The TGSL is for the 1/2" nut.
